The former Pacific Grove sharpshooter was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week for the Lawrence University men's basketball team in Appleton, Wisconsin.
The sophomore guard connected on 7-of-10 from the field (4-of-6 from the 3-point line), scoring 21 points in a win over Knox College.
Sendell, who played last season at Monterey Peninsula College, leads the team in scoring this year at 17.2 points. He has scored 20 or more points five times.
The 6-foot guard is the first player from Lawrence to earn Conference Player of the Week honors in nearly two years.
A four year starter at Pacific Grove, Sendell was a three-time member of The Herald's All-County basketball team and a three-time Mission Trail Athletic League Player of the Year.
