The former York record setting swimmer has gotten off to an auspicious start for the Northwestern University swimming team, posting the fastest time in the 200 yard breaststroke.
Blaul swam a personal best 2:01.19 to win the TYR Invitational in the 200 breast. He also sports the Wildcats second fastest mark in the 100 breast (56.72) and third best in the 200 IM (1:51.84).
He was also part of the 200 medley relay team that finished fifth at the NU Quad Meet.
Blaul set numerous school records at York, reaching the state championships the last three seasons, reaching the podium and earning All-American honors in the 200 IM and 100 breast.
