Three-time Winter Olympian Nick Cunningham has become the new head boys and girls track and field coach at Carmel.
Cunningham went to the state track and field championships as a senior in the 100 and 200 meter sprints at Monterey High.
During his senior season for the Toreadores, Cunningham won the 100, 200 and 400 meter sprints at the Monterey Bay League finals.
Upon his collegiate track career coming to a close at Boise State, Cunningham put together a decade long career as a bobsledder.
A brakeman for Team USA in his first Olympics, Cunningham was the driver for the two-man and four-man bobsled teams in the 2012 and 2016 Winter Olympics.
