Pajaro Valley-Stevenson football

Saturday's game
Pajaro Valley (3-6) at Stevenson (3-5), 2 p.m.
For about a quarter, thoughts of a co-championship were swirling around in the Pirates heads after taking a 7-0 and a 10-7 lead over undefeated Gonzales.
That next hurdle, though, was raised as Stevenson isn't quite at that level. However, it's clear that it is going in the right direction, having chased a vision all season.
The objective is to close the season and continue the path of growth that it has shown in its second season under head coach Kyle Cassamas.
Alex Murray comes into his final game as a Pirate leading the team in rushing and receiving, while being among the team leaders in tackles.
The Grizzlies have dropped four of their last five. Six times this season they have given up 34 or more points in a game.
The third quarter has continued to be Pajaro Valley's Achilles heel, having been outscored 96-19 this fall.
Junior Carlos Hernandez has been a bright spot offensively for the Grizzlies in running the ball, as he leads the team in touchdowns.
