Owners of four straight wins, the Knights are clinging to hope of earning a playoff spot in Division V, as the runner-ups in the Santa Lucia Division.
During its second half surge, Soquel has outscored opponents 110-36. This is the fourth straight year that it has improved in the win column.
Marina is one win away from tying the single-season school record for wins at five. It has posted a school record three shutouts this fall.
The Mariners have been a tale of two different teams, having outscored opponents 109-12 in their four wins. Yet, in the five losses, they have been outscored 206-56.
Defensively, Marina has produced two touchdowns with Danh Lee returning an interception for six and Felipe Olivera picking up a fumble and returning it 55 yards for a touchdown.
Since produced 76 points in their first two games of the season, the Mariners offense has scored just 82 points in their last seven games.
