Central Coast Section Division II Quarterfinals
Saturday's game
No. 8 Saratoga (18-8) vs. No. 1 Soledad (22-5) at Hartnell College, 2 p.m.
Champions of the El Camino Division, the Falcons have rattled off six straight wins, including a 3-2 playoff opening win over Leigh.
Pitching around Nathan Peng might be a good idea as the slugger is hitting .525 with 12 homers and 44 runs batted in. He's reached base in 24 of the Saratoga's 26 games.
Peng is also 7-1 with a 1.85 earned run average, although his innings will be limited, having thrown a complete game in the win over Leigh
Soledad has some familiarity with Hartnell's synthetic field, playing a game earlier this year against Alisal, in which it was beaten 2-1.
During its 15 game winning streak, the Mission Trail Athletic League champion Aztecs have scored 182 runs, beating Prospect 10-0 in a game shorten to five innings on Wednesday.
Isaac Lopez has driven in 28 runs this season, while Ben Pajas has a team high 35 hits, with Lopez and Chris Villarreal each having 30.
Andrew Holquin is 9-0 on the bump this year. Because he only pitched five innings in the playoff opener, he will be available for Saturday. Expect Anthony Ramirez to get the start.
