It took Marisa Given two games to equal her entire output in one season at Oregon for the UC Davis softball team.
Given, who sat out last year after giving up her softball scholarship at Oregon, has started two games for the Aggies, ripping a pair of hits and driving in a run.
The Herald's Athlete of the Year in 2015 at Notre Dame, Given is hitting .333 for UC Davis. She’s also scored two runs and has yet to commit an error in right field.
Former Notre Dame teammate Aly Gomonet has started all five games for the Aggies at shortstop, leading the team in stolen bases with five while driving in two runs, hitting .200.
