Softball trio at San Diego Christian

Former Carmel High standout Angie Savoldi and Pacific Grove product Victoria Harris have both been selected to represent the NAIA and USA on a summer college softball team that will compete in South Africa.

Last year Harris hit .347 for San Diego Christian, leading the team in stolen bases (21) and runs scored (43), while driving in 19 runs. Savoldi and Harris have started all four games this year in the outfield.

A teammate of the pair is former King City High and Hartnell College infielder Emily Espino, who has played in two games at shortstop for San Diego Christian.
