MPC football

Two years ago the Lobos saw a Division I quarterback transfer in and promptly went 10-0.
After a redshirt year last season at the University of Nevada, David Fales is following a similar path, transferring to MPC, where he'll line up behind center for the Lobos.
Fales, who is battling incumbent Daniel Connors for the starting job, certainly fits the pro-style offense that coach Mike Rasmussen likes to run. And he already has a grasp of the system, having run a similar offense at Palma.
There is no shortest of help in the receiving core with the return of Fales' Palma teammate Bret Chernetsky, and 6-foot-4 King City freshman tight end Jake Davis.
Monterey tailback Markeen Williams is a blur in the open field, providing the Lobos with a balanced attack.
Scoring points shouldn't be an issue for the Lobos. If MPC can play any sort of defense, a return to prominence will not be far behind.
For added incentive, a Coast Conference title this year would insure a home bowl game.
