Reader to Idaho

Had Brian Reader stuck around one more season at MPC, his stock might have reason considerably — or he might have been left out of the loop.
There was no guarantee that a better scholarship offer was coming. Most Division I colleges aren't looking for a quarterback for just two years. Reader has three full seasons of eligibility left.
And now he has a full ride football scholarship to the University of Idaho, where he will be given a chance to battle for the starting quarterback job in spring ball.
Granted the Vandals haven't been very good lately in the Western Athletic Conference. Last year they were 2-10. What better way to turn your program around than to bring in a quarterback that already understands your system.
Keep in mind Reader has just two full seasons under his belt — his senior year at Palma, and last fall as a redshirt freshman at MPC.
Numbers don't lie. Either does potential. Reader hasn't even tapped into his.

Congrats to Brian. It's a great day to be a Vandal!
