John Tyndall got his first collegiate carry for Cal last Saturday against Washington.
And guess who tackled the Pacific Grove graduate, who was The Herald's Offensive Player of the Year in 2006.
Does the name Mason Foster ring a bell?
It seemed only fitting that Foster, a one-time Seaside High and the Herald's Defensive Player of the Year in 2006, would get reacquainted with Tyndall.
The pair were the center of attention two years ago in the Central Coast Section Small Division finals, igniting their offenses and anchoring their defenses.
