The Boston Celtics are chasing history. So to are the San Jose Sharks.
What's easier? Reaching 70 wins in the NBA or 70 wins in the NHL?
Both leagues each play an 82 game schedule.
That's where the similarities end. The parity in the NHL is far greater than the NBA. Plus the Celtics play in the Eastern Conference, meaning there are more bad teams.
The NHL is a much more punishing game on the body. The Sharks record start has given us a reason to at least pay attention to the NHL in December.
But it would be foolish to assume the Men in Teal can withstand the rigors of 82 games and lose just 12 times.
