edwards update

Herm Edwards has told the media in Kansas City he won't quit.
My question is why was it even brought up? Why should he step down? To let someone else reap the benefits of his rewards?
With a year left on his contract, the Chiefs should let Edwards prove his remodeling project -- as he likes to call it -- works.
Of course, few coaches who drop 22 of 24 games, survive in the NFL.
If Edwards gets fired, don't be surprised to see him take a year or two off and go into TV.
