What is Sacred Heart Cathedral of San Francisco doing in the Small School Division playoffs?
I know their enrollment falls in the class of Small School.
But this is what's wrong with the Central Coast Section playoff system.
A team that plays in the strongest league in the CCS has no business in the Small School Division playoffs.
The point system is flawed.
Sacred Heart has wins over St. Francis, Valley Christian, Mitty and Riordan. And that only warranted a No. 7 seed.
Who are we kidding here?
Anyone in the West Catholic Athletic League belongs in the Open Division. The other three teams from the WCAL are in the Open Division.
Anyone remember Valley Christian in the Small School Division playoffs four years ago? What was it.... 73 points in a CCS title game.
