I like Salinas' chances of upsetting No. 2 seed Andrew Hill in the Large School Division playoffs on Friday.
Yeah, Andrew Hill is 10-0. But look at some of its wins. Soledad, Gonzales and Pacific Grove. Please.
I see an upset here.
As for who got a difficult first round game. I'd have to say Seaside and Carmel.
First of all, the Spartans got pushed into the Medium School playoffs. Now they have to face Los Gatos, owner of 48 playoffs wins and nine CCS titles. Ouch.
And while Carmel got a No. 2 seed in the Small School Division and a home game, it gets West Catholic Athletic League power Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Don't be mislead by Sacred Heart's 5-5 record. The WCAL is the most difficult league in the section. And Sacred Heart beat St. Francis and Mitty.
