Maybe it's time to give Salinas coach Steve Goodbody is due.

Keep in mind, this is a group of seniors that have never had a winning season at any level.
Yet, here they are, one win away from clinching no worse than a .500 overall record and a likely spot in the postseason.
The Cowboys three losses this year are to teams with a combined 17-1 record. Two of their wins include perennial MBL power Seaside and CCS Medium School finalist Live Oak.
Goodbody felt he needed three years to established his own program. Salinas now has an identity.
