Football picks

No rhyme or reason.
But going 10-1 last week (thanks Monterey) makes me 34-10.
Alisal at Salinas: Nothing wrong with a little playoff atmosphere in October, although most TCAL games have a playoff feel. A mistake in the fourth quarter decides this evenly matched battle. Alisal.
San Benito at North Salinas: Not since the days of former Philadelphia Eagles running back Anthony Toney have the Vikings started 5-0. Head coach Steve Zenk spent a few seasons as an assistant at San Benito. North Salinas.
King City at Greenfield: Three teams could make the postseason out of the Mission Trail Athletic League. Third place is decided tonight: Greenfield.
Gonzales at Soledad: Two teams separated by six miles creates a rivalry. Soledad has made big strides this year. The Spartans need three points to surpass last years entire team total. Gonzales.
North County at Seaside: If the Spartans play like they have in their last two games, they won't lose another game this year. Seaside.
Pajaro Valley at Monterey: Stallworth might have been the most physical team Monterey has played this year. It should help them in four weeks when they face Seaside: Monterey.
Pacific Grove at Gilroy: The Breakers are treating this game like a mid-term. Can it stop Gilroy's vaunted spread offense? Because in four weeks, it'll face a similar attack in Carmel. Gilroy.
Carmel at Stevenson: The Pirates found enough players to step on the field. But for how long? Carmel has scored 99 points in its last two games. Carmel
Palma at Alvarez: All Palma wants out of this game is to come away healthy as its next two opponents will be unbeaten North Salinas and Gilroy. Palma.
