The frustration of a 5-26 season was softened a bit for Orlando Johnson, who rewrote the Loyola-Marymount men's freshman basketball school record for points with 383.
Johnson, a Palma product, used a 19-point effort in his final game to break the mark by four points. The 6-foot-6 forward also tied the freshman school record for rebounds in a season with 152.
Keep in mind that Johnson became a marked man when it became apparent as the season progressed that Loyola didn't have a lot of offensive options.
