Friday's game
North County (2-1) at Greenfield (0-3), 7:30 p.m.
The Condors are coming off their biggest win in five years in knocking off previously undefeated Scotts Valley on the road.
Greenfield played arguably its best game of the season before wearing down and giving up the last 14 points in a 34-20 loss to Mission Prep.
What you have to be encouraged about if you're the Bruins is the fight they showed, rallying from a pair of deficits to tie the game twice on touchdown runs from Daniel Morales.
Quarterback Brandon Ducusin was a difference maker for North County, tossing a touchdown pass and rushing 25 yards for another in a 12-7 win last week.
Ducusin has accounted for six touchdowns in two games this year for the Condors, connecting with Cyrus Coffelt for a pair of scoring tosses.
The Bruins are still looking for their first points in the first quarter this year. Jose Hernandez might be the most underrated player in the area with his leg and pass catching abilities.
The two programs have met just twice. Last year North County prevailed 27-9 and posted a 27-2 win in 2014.
