Former Seaside High products Malik Jeter and Dariyn Choates battled through a tumultuous season for the Sacramento State football team.
The Hornets were winless in conference play, finishing 2-8 overall.
Jeter played in all 10 games this past fall as a true sophomore defensive back, compiling 21 tackles while forcing a fumble.
The 270-pound Choates was limited to eight games because of injuries. The junior defensive end finished with 11 tackles, one sack and two pass breakups.
