Jorge Sanchez was named to the NCAA Division II All-Region cross country team for the Alaska-Anchorage men's team.
The former Alvarez High and Hartnell College distance ace earned a spot after placing in the top 20 at the Division II regionals, helping Alaska-Anchorage qualify for the NCAA championships.
Named the Great Northwest Athletic League Newcomer of the Year last season, the senior was an All-American in cross country and track at Hartnell.
