Friday's game
Stevenson (2-3) at Harbor (0-5), 7:30 p.m.
There is momentum on the Pebble Beach campus with two consecutive heart stopping wins for the Pirates, who are undefeated in the Santa Lucia Division.
Stevenson has been involved in three games this fall decided by a total of six points - two by a single point.
Its wild second half rally two weeks ago in defeating Marina was followed by a defensive stop of a two-point conversation with 10 seconds left to secure a 22-21 win over Greenfield.
Dating back to last season, Harbor has lost 14 straight games, having been outscored 68-6 in a pair of league games.
Quarterback Jared Kruse has produced all of Harbor's points this year, rushing for four touchdowns while tossing a pair. The team has struggled in the first quarter, having been outscored 58-7.
Stevenson has rediscovered its running game behind Alex Murray, who has rushed for 242 and 178 yards in his last two games.
A quarterback last year that opened the season as the teams top receiving target, the versatile Murray is lining up all over the field, creating headaches for opponents that cross his path.
Quarterback Dylan Santos is coming off perhaps his best effort of the season for Stevenson, adding nearly 60 yards on the ground and touchdown, while tossing a touchdown.
No one is having a better year defensively than Connor Adams, who is coming off back-to-back double digit tackling efforts, while Murray has a pair of picks on defense.
