Trinity-Woodside Priory football

Friday's game
Trinity (1-4) at Woodside Priory, Los Altos Hills (1-3), 3:30 p.m.
Maybe the Warriors just needed to get on the road to iron out their deficiencies after posting their first win of the season last week.
The three previous setbacks for Trinity had come at home, at least the site that is referred to as home this fall in Pacific Grove.
Alex Cabanilla is coming off a big effort for the Warriors with two touchdowns, one being a 44 yard run, the other a 50-yard touchdown catch in a 47-42 win over Coast Union.
Trinity's defense rose to the occasion in big moments, creating a turnover that lead to a touchdown in the first half, and getting a big fourth down stop in the fourth quarter to protect a league.
Two of the Panthers three losses are to teams that also knocked off Trinity. Yet, after scoring just 22 points in three losses, they erupted for 44 in a win last week.
This is also a Pacific Coast League game, where both teams are 0-1, both two Cornerstone Christian. However, Trinity and Woodside are just one game out of the No. 2 playoff spot.
There should be redemption on the minds of Trinity, who gave up 78 points to the Panthers last year and trail 6-3 in nine previous meetings between the two teams.
