Stevenson-Pacific Grove football

Friday's game
Stevenson (0-2) at Pacific Grove (1-1), 7:30 p.m.
The Pirates need to have short term memory after last week's heartbreaking 16-15 loss to Oakland, in which a safety in the final two minutes turned a one-point lead into a one-point loss.
Pacific Grove has had an extra week to prepare for their former league rivals, as well as think about giving up 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter in an 11-point loss to Gonzales.
Anthony DaSilva has provided stability in the backfield for the Breakers, rushing for 170 yards and four touchdowns.
Freddy Albert has been accurate behind center, completing 12-of-19 passes for 198 yards, with 80 of those yards going to Blake Moore.
While Pacific Grove's defense gave up nearly 300 rushing yards to one individual two weeks ago, it also surrendered three touchdown passes against Gonzales.
Stevenson quarterback Dylan Santos has thrown three touchdown passes to three different receivers this fall while Honorabel Walker has rushed for a pair.
Penalties were a throne in the Pirates side last week as two touchdowns were called back because of illegal blocks.
Nine more points and Pacific Grove will surpass last year's entire total. It's also looking to snap a two game losing streak to the Pirates.
