In conjunction with North Salinas hosting its annual Sportsmanship Girls Basketball Classic in December, all eight teams slated to compete in the tournament will purchase toys for homeless children.
North Salinas head coach Darren Jackson is hoping to get 100 toys to present to kids during the tournament. Toys do not need to be more than $5 to $10. The toys will be presented on Dec. 15 during the tournament. Anyone wishing to provide a toy can call Jackson at 831-754-5631 or 831-809-0333.
