Soledad-Righetti football

Friday's game
Soledad (0-3) at Righetti (3-1), 7 p.m.
In their three wins, the Warriors have outscored opponents 140-30. The one loss was a 37-35 setback to undefeated Centennial of Bakersfield.
Soledad has its hands full as it attempts to avoid its worst start since 2007 when it went winless. The offense has produced just three touchdown catches from Angel Olivas.
Someone other than Olivas has to step into the spotlight as opponents are double teaming the Aztec wideout.
All three of Righetti's wins have come at home this year. Adan Solis has rushed for nearly 600 yards and 10 touchdowns while quarterback Brandon Giddings has thrown for 438 yards.
The Aztecs gave up 178 rushing yards to one individual in last week's 28-0 loss to Gonzales. Failure to score marked the first time in 57 games that they were shutout.
Soledad, who has been outscored 95-19, has played two teams that are still undefeated and another that won a Central Coast Section Division V title last year.
This is the first ever meeting between the two teams. The Warriors haven't faced a team in Monterey County in over 20 years.
