Marina-Gunn football

Friday's game
Marina (2-1) at Gunn (0-3), 7 p.m.
Forfeiting last week's game kept the Titans winless. The decision stemmed from not having enough healthy players on a roster hovering around 20 players.
Prior to that, Gunn had been competitive in losses to Soquel and James Lick, averaging nearly 400 offensive yards. The problem is the defense has given up 92 points in two games.
Last week Marina was held to two points in seeing its school record six game winning streak stopped by Harker.
The Mariners had an historic start to their season with two straight wins and two straight shutouts in a pair of impressive wins.
Marina has to do a better job in remaining disciplined. Two weeks ago, it had 90 yards in penalties in the first half.
Sophomore quarterback Michael Barrera has thrown for 408 yards and four touchdowns for Marina, with one pick in 60 attempts. He's also rushed for two touchdowns.
All four scoring strikes have gone to Ernie Guevera, who has 17 catches for 304 yards. Danh Lee has been a double problem for opponents, rushing for 128 yards while catching eight passes.
Guevera also leads the Mariners with 14 tackles and two fumble recoveries while Izzy Guizar has 13 tackles and a sack.
