The former Alvarez High and Hartnell College distance ace will begin the season as the No. 2 runner for the University of Alaska-Anchorage men’s cross country team.
Last fall Sanchez was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year after a top 25 finish. While at Hartnell, Sanchez was a state meet qualifier in both cross country and track.

Don't forget he was state champion at 5000m and double All-American 5000m and 10,000m.
