4. North Salinas: Lone setback on the season was administered by Alvarez.
5. Palma: Its run of six straight Gabilan Division titles is in jeopardy.
6. King City: Chasing a sixth consecutive MTAL title this spring.
7. Alisal: One or two places away from its record being reversed.
8. North County: On the mend. But it takes time to rebuild a program.
9. Stevenson: Going to be a factor in five weeks at the MTAL finals.
10. Monterey: Does it have enough depth to chase a Pacific Division title?
On the bubble: Gilroy Watsonville, Carmel, Soledad.
