1. San Benito: All the ingredients to repeat as Gabilan Division champions.
2. North Salinas: Strong season opening win over Notre Dame.
3. North County: Sent a message with a big effort in its season opener.
4. Notre Dame: Will be a factor by the time May rolls around.
5. Santa Catalina: Its run of five straight MTAL titles will depend on a handful of individuals.
6. Salinas: Those that are out will make the Cowboys competitive.
7. Alisal: Has some work to do in the Gabilan Division
8. Carmel: My sleeper team this spring in the MTAL.
9. Monterey: Depth is always a concern for the Toreadores.
10. Watsonville: Does it have enough parts to make a Pacific Division title run?
On the bubble: Alvarez, Pacific Grove, Monte Vista, Christopher.
