Lizzy Tardieu


Having already surpassed her single-season career marks, senior libero Lizzy Tardieu is close to recording numbers that exceed her first three years combined for the nationally ranked University of San Diego volleyball team.
The 5-foot-5 defensive specialist has recorded 257 digs in the teams first 18 matches, averaging a team high 4.21 digs per set. At this current pace, she will finish with 368 digs in the regular season. Tardieu came into the season with 322 career digs.
Tardieu has already surpassed her career totals for assists with 64 this fall, and his third on the team in service aces with 12, one shy of her single-season career mark.
The Herald’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2014 and the Volleyball Player of the Year in 2013, Tardieu was an all-leaguer in three different sports for Santa Catalina, reaching the state meet in cross country.
