Pete Noble

Former Monterey High head football coach Pete Noble is being inducted into the Encinal Sports Hall of Fame -- again.

This time as a wrestling coach as his 1981 North Coast Section championship team is a part of this years inductions.
Noble is already in the Encinal Sports Hall of Fame as a football coach, inducted in 2015 for his 1980 North Coast Section championship football team.
Noble had two tours of duty as Monterey’s head football coach, guiding them to the postseason in each of his last five seasons. He also spent one season at Gonzales, leading them to their last Mission Trail Athletic League title in 2002.
Before retiring as a coach, Noble spent four seasons as the defensive coordinator at Hartnell College.
