North County football

This is still an uphill road for the Condors to climb.
Their next three games are against a reigning league champion and two programs that are currently undefeated.
Which is what made Friday's win over Marina that much more critical.
Fifteen straight road games will wear on you. The entire month of September will be road games as the Condors renovated field and stadium nears completion.
North County has not fared well on the road during this stretch, having gone 2-12 prior to its 30-15 win over Marina.
What's encouraging is the Condors avenged a loss last year to Marina, came from behind early in the game and produced 30 or more points for just the second time since this long strange road trip began.
What is important is maintaining that competitive fire. Nine of their previous 12 losses had been by three touchdowns or more. Granted six of those losses were to playoff teams.
But that's the direction the Condors want to go. Remember, this is a program that still has the second most league titles in the county over the last three decades.
And that includes a league title drought that has stretched to 14 straight years.
Bringing that pride back starts with laying down a foundation for the future. Planting those seeds begins with this group of seniors.
