Marina-St. Francis football

Saturday's game
Marina (1-2) at St Francis, Watsonville (3-1), 2 p.m.
After four years of playing an independent schedule to rebuild their program, the Sharks are coming into the Coastal Division with vengeance, having outscored three California opponents 132-7.
St. Francis' one setback this fall came out of state, falling 20-7 to Lasalle of Milwaukie, Oregon in Week 3.
The Sharks have a running back by committee approach in which five different players have rushed for over 150 yards apiece.
Senior quarterback Derric Estrada-Haro was been effective with four of his 12 completions going for touchdowns.
Marina has led at some point in each game this fall. An argument can be made that it was one fourth down stop in the fourth quarter last week from changing the complexion of the game.
Depth has been an issue as the Mariners have worn down in the later stages of the game, as evident by opponents scoring the last 21 points in their last two games.
Ronnie Patterson is coming off a two touchdown rushing effort. The Mariners are averaging nearly 10 more points a game this year, while allowing 22 fewer points a contest.
