Alisal-Alvarez boys basketball

You want all your horses for a game of this magnitude.
The Eagles may not have that option as the status of Blake Kunkel's ankle will likely force him to miss his third straight game.
Last year's leader scorer hasn't played a Pacific Division game for Alvarez after rolling his ankle in practice two days before the start of league play.
Alvarez, who has won six straight games, has rallied in his absence with two lopsided league wins to set the stage for its rivalry with the defending Pacific Division champion Trojans.
With four sophomores filling the lanes, Alisal is still chasing an identity. Junior Adrian Betancourt has filled a big role offensively, leading the team in scoring.
The Trojans can also turn to 6-foot-5 senior Rene Hurtado, who is averaging nearly 14 points and 10 rebounds game, and sophomore Josue Gil-Silva and his 13.8 points.
With Kunkel sidelined, Marc Flores has caught fire on the perimeter for the Eagles while Michael Ramirez has been consistent.
In Kunkel's place Devin Foster has filled in well in the paint, producing a double-double in the teams win over Gilroy last Wednesday.
The Trojans swept the season series last year en route to recording the programs first ever undefeated league season. Prior to that, Alvarez had won five straight over Alisal.
