Otters men's hoops

 Having done a complete makeover with its roster this season, the Otters will open the California Collegiate Athletic Association tonight, hosting CSU-East Bay of Hayward.
 Three freshmen are among CSUMB's leading scorers this year, anchored by Frank Warren, who is dropping in 14.8 points a night.
 Four players are averaging over 10 points a game, including former Texas A&M playmaker Shawn Smith.
 With all three seniors on the roster expected to be medically redshirted this year, CSUMB is on a youth movement
 The Otters 2-4 non-conference record could easily be 4-2. They have losses by six and three points, falling 65-62 on Tuesday in their final tune up to Holy Names.
 CSU-East Bay comes into the game 6-1. But the combined records of the teams it has faced is 6-23.  Transfer Micah Dunhour is averaging 17 points a game.
