The former Palma High golf standout was one of seven in a field of 120 to advance to the U.S. Open sectional qualifier.
Burlison, who transferred from Cal to Rice University in Houston, carded a 3-under at the U.S. Open local qualifier in Houston to earn a spot in the section qualifying tournament on June 6.
Burlison helped P to a pair of league titles and was low medalist on the 2012 squad that qualified as a team in 2012 for the Northern California golf finals.
