The effort in the pool and the classroom has paid dividends for Paul Cieri.
The Trinity Christian and Seaside Aquatics swimming standout has been awarded a scholarship to attend Albright College in Reading, PA.Cieri, who holds numerous school records at Trinity, has spent the last seven years swimming for the Seaside Aquatic Club, earning multiple trips to the Junior Olympics and Far Western Championships.
"Through his focus, dedication and desire, he has shown that hard work to a craft is an important aspect in leading a valued life,’’ Seaside Aquatic coach Ken Fittro said. "His pallet has been the swimming pool and classroom.’’
Cieri has etched his name among the top 10 for the aquatic club in the 200, 500, 1,000 and 1,650 yard freestyle events, as well as the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley.
