North County-Pacific Grove boys hoops

Perhaps this rematch will live up to the build up that was anticipated when the two played each other back on Dec. 18 in a non league game.
The first meeting fizzled when the then 6-1 Condors were forced to play without their two leading scorers to injuries and were crushed 65-27.
Both Jordan Graves and Jeremy Heitzman are back for Saturday's CCS Division IV quarterfinal at the Kaiser Arena in Santa Cruz.
Graves, who became the Condors all-time leading scorer last week, is averaging nearly 17 points a game while Heitzman is dropping in 13 plus points and 12 rebounds a night.
Don't discount Jeremy Samples, who produced a double-double in North County's win over King City on Thursday.
The issue for the Condors is containing Mission Trail Athletic League Most Valuable Player Brad Sendell, who is averaging 17 points a game for the 20-4 Breakers.
Sendell, a three-year starter for the reigning three-time MTAL champions, has gotten his teammates involved in the offense, as Jake Merenda has a team high 43 3-point goals.
Chip Wagner and Zack Miller have given Pacific Grove an inside presence in the paint, combining to average 17.5 points and a dozen rebounds a night.
