After 41 years as the athletic director at Notre Dame, Terri Sonniksen will retire at the end of the school season.
Sonniksen has earned numerous accolades during her tenure, including the Central Coast Section Athletic Director of the Year in 1997 and the State Athletic Director of the Year in 2009.
She also coached several sports earlier in her career at Notre Dame. All of the Spirits league titles and section championships have come with Sonniksen as the schools athletic director.
