Seaside football

Two weeks ago the Spartans were chasing at Pacific Division title.
Monday Seaside will be turning in uniforms after a season finale three-point loss at Watsonville.
There will be no postseason for the 5-5 Spartans, whose bye week comes in Week 11.
This was a learning season for Seaside. It clearly took a step in the right direction after winning just one game in 2014.
Seaside coach Al Avila called it a maturation process with all the youth on the roster.
There were moments when that youth was exposed.
 That won't happen next fall.
The core is coming back, including 1,000 yard running back Keishawn Robinson and hard hitting safety Malik Jeter.
Assuming Seaside remains in the Pacific Division, this will be the team to beat next season.
