Saturday's game
Reedley (5-3) vs. Hartnell (8-0), at Rabobank, 6 p.m.
Reedley has made a move in conference, sitting just a game behind the unbeaten Panthers and West Hills.
Austin Bray has thrown for nearly 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns this fall for Reedley, with Caleb Horton having caught 44 passes for six touchdowns.
Defensively, Reedley has forced 26 turnovers. All three of its losses this season have been by three points or less. The Panthers have been involved in one nailbitter all year.
Hartnell's offense looked a little different last week with tailback Marcus Washington rushing for a career high 189 yards and two touchdowns. It's something that has been missing all season.
Quarterback Justyn Gutierrez should have his favorite target back in Ronnie Turner, who sat out last week as more of a precaution for an injury.
Turner is averaging over 100 receiving yards a game for Hartnell, with 10 touchdowns. Teammate Eppy Henriques has nine touchdown catches this fall.
Justin Pleasont has been a menace on defense for the Panthers with a team high 49 tackles and five sacks. Reggie McGee has 11 sacks while Devante Conyers is coming off a two pick game.
These next two games will be the best teams the reigning four-time conference champion Panthers have faced.
