Pacific Grove football

 You couldn't have scripted this.
 It was that surreal.
Overtime was not an option for Pacific Grove coach Chris Morgan.
Forget for a moment that he has one of the more accurate kickers in the area. The decision was made to go for two and take the lead with 1:16 left rather than play for a tie.
 Didn't happen.
Then again, maybe Morgan had an inkling.
If the two-point conversation failed, his squad would recover an onside kick.
 Nope.
Perhaps he believed in a defense that has been the strength of this program all season -- could get the ball back.
 Presto.
It took just 26 seconds for Pacific Grove to force a punt.
It took 50 seconds for an unsung quarterback in Colton Moore to get the Breakers to the 3-yard line with 1.8 seconds left.
That accurate kicker? He was ready as Noah Ryan kicked a 20 yard field as time expired, lifting the Breakers into the CCS Division V finals.
Pacific Grove is going back to the finals for the second time in three years. For the third consecutive year, it has 10 or more wins.
It's undefeated in the traditional home jerseys this year. Being the top seed means Pacific Grove will be the home team in the CCS finals.
