Carmel football

Failure to capitalize in the red zone in the postseason can be crippling.
Three trips inside the 20-yard line Friday produced one touchdown in a 28-14 loss to Half Moon Bay.
It's not the first time this had happened to Carmel this year.
In a 9-3 loss to Soledad, the Padres had the ball inside the 10-yard line in the fourth quarter and never scored.
I'm not sure Carmel ever found its identity on offense this year.
No doubt, over the final month of the season it became more of a run oriented attack, piling up over 1,000 rushing yards in running off three straight wins.
But that potent passing attack we've witnessed for the last nine years never found its stride this fall.
Than again, when you've got a running back in Covossay Windham, that has back-to-back 1,300 plus yard rushing seasons, you have something special.
Windham didn't play in three games this year because of an injury. The juniors numbers could have been through the roof.
Rushing for 2,000 yards next year isn't out of the question.
