North Salinas football

It's not an intimidating group of players on paper or in person.
Until you make contact with North Salinas on the field.
 You can't measure what's in someone's heart.
When you've tripled your win output from the previous year and are one win away from locking up a league title, it's not a fluke.
Don't look at the Vikings 30 man roster and make an opinion until you see them play.
There may not be a better linebacker in the Pacific Division than Armando Armenta, who stands 5-5 with his shoes on.
Justin Robante is a lean running back that can't be brought down by just one tackler. Put the shifty moves aside. Arm tackling him doesn't work.
You've got a quarterback in Tim Burkhardt that is a hidden gem -- and a defense anchored by Ben Organista that has scored five touchdowns this year.
North Salinas may have put last year's 2-8 record in the rear view mirror. But it hasn't forgotten the eight game losing streak that ended the season.
It's humble and hungry. Of the 30 players, 20 are seniors. That's a lot of senior leadership that has bought into the system.
