 The return of sniper Jensen Main from last year's Pacific Division tournament title team has created higher expectations for the Pirates.
 Carmel, meanwhile has not only surpassed last year's entire win total, but it produced more goals in its first three games (49) than it had in all of last fall.
 Jensen, who has a softball scholarship to University of New Mexico, produced 70 goals last year for Stevenson.
 Kelly Rice came out firing for the Padres, producing 16 goals in the first two games while Megan Brady provided 10 goals in a recent four game tournament.
 Defensively, Carmel has held three teams to two goals or less, as Sophia Supica has recorded 38 saves between the posts.
