Tuesday's game
Santa Cruz vs. Salinas at Hartnell College, 4 p.m.
You don't replace 152 goals with just one person.
The Cowboys looked balanced in their season opening win with three players scoring three or more goals, including four-year starter Nic Clark.
A state finalist last spring in swimming at Salinas, Clark is a sniper in the water, where he might be the fastest swimmer in the pool. Last year he quietly scored 52 goals and had 38 assists.
Alex Davidson may inherit the role of distributor this fall for the Cowboys, handling out four assists in the opener, along with three goals.
The Cowboys have a rock in the cage in goalie Liam Parrish, who recorded 305 saves last year. He opened the year with eight saves and two steals.
