Hartnell-Yuba football

Saturday's game
Hartnell (0-0) at Yuba (0-0), 6 p.m.
The Panthers have won the last four conference titles with back-to-back nine win seasons, beating Yuba 53-9 in last year's season opener.
Yuba bounced back from an 0-2 start by winning six of its final eight games to compete in a bowl game.
Hartnell is breaking in an entire new backfield with North Salinas grad Justyn Gutierrez taking over the quarterback duties. His prime target will be highly recruited 6-foot-4 Ronnie Turner.
Tailback Marcus Washington was having a super camp until he was hit by a car last Monday. His status for tonight's game for the Panthers is questionable.
Yuba will also be breaking in a new quarterback. Dylan Campbell caught 63 passes last year and served as a backup quarterback.
Hartnell's defense produced 27 turnovers last fall and was plus seven in turnover ratio. Yuba was minus two in turnover ratio.
Yuba and Hartnell had eight common opponents last year with the Panthers going 6-2 and Yuba finishing 5-3.
