Harker-Carmel volleyball

Harker (3-3) at Carmel (4-1), 6:30 p.m.
 These teams are no strangers to each other, having battled in the playoffs two of the last three years, splitting the two meetings. The Eagles also beat Carmel last fall in a non-league match.
  Despite replacing a four-year starting setter and libero, the defending Mission Trail Athletic League champion Padres are off to a 4-1 start while Harker is 3-3.
 Alex Weber has filled in nicely at setter for Carmel while libero Lauren Salvati has shown no effects from a severe ankle injury suffered in softball last spring.
 Harker has four players with 25 or more kills this fall, including senior Shannon Richardson, who is also among the team leaders in digs.
 Megan Gonzalez appears to have developed chemistry with Weber as the junior outside hitter has 44 kills for Carmel.
 Dating back to 2013, Carmel has rattled off 19 straight home wins.
