Each week Alisal coach Jim Lockwood picks one thing as a key.
Assignment the first week.
Turnovers the second week.
Discipline last week.
All three came together on Friday.
The result. The Trojans have their first win of the season.
Patience could have been another term.
Lockwood has remained upbeat and optimistic with his young squad.
Did Alisal come of age?
The second half was impressive as it held Greenfield scoreless.
Yet, confidence is what Alisal built.
Remember, it was trailing 13-7 before running off the games final 20 points. I don't know if that happens last year. It clearly didn't occur in the season opener.
There was balance in the offense with Raul Garnica tossing a touchdown pass and three different runners rushing for touchdowns.
No doubt, a step in the right direction. Now the Trojans have to build off it. League play is two weeks off. And they're a contender.
